TabTrade - Is It Worth Opening an Account

Tab Trade - What It Is

Tab Trade launched in March 2026. Trading platform registered in Saint Lucia, regulated by Saint Lucia's FSRA. The founder is Benjamin Boulter. Prior to TabTrade, he was a senior exec at BlackBull Markets, a FMA-regulated broker.

His background tells you something. It means the founder knows how a proper broker operates. Does not mean TabTrade is the same as BlackBull. But preferable to a random name you cannot trace.

They launched with Equinix data centre access in London. Same facilities banks and hedge funds use. Most new brokers leads with marketing and bonuses. These guys led with infrastructure. Interesting choice.

The instrument list: forex, indices, metals, commodities, equities, crypto, ETFs. 1,000+. For something this new, the breadth is broad.

Platforms

You get: MT5, cTrader, and a WebTrader. Two major platforms from the same login. A lot of brokers only give you one or the other. Access to both matters. You are not locked into one.

MetaTrader 5 is the default. Complete charts, automated trading, tons of scripts and indicators. If you know MetaTrader before, it is familiar territory.

cTrader by Spotware is the more modern one. Better DOM. Smoother chart interaction. Native automated trading. Many people prefer it after comparing.

Direct FIX connectivity is available for bots but needs the VIP account ($25,000 deposit). TradingView is reportedly in the works. That would make the platform set when it arrives.

What You Pay

Three levels: Standard, Edge, VIP.

Standard account. Spreads from 1.0 pips. Zero commission. Simple. Zero deposit requirement. Works for people who want simple pricing.

Edge account. True raw pricing from 0.0 pips on average. Commission of $3.50 each way. All-in: raw spread plus $7 per full lot. On liquid pairs, the raw spread is often a fraction of a pip. So your actual cost per trade can sit below 0.5 pips. That is good for an offshore broker. Most brokers that run raw pricing at this level require a minimum deposit. This broker does not.

VIP account. $25,000 minimum. FIX API, faster fills, negotiated fees. Not for most retail traders. Skip it unless you move real size.

Execution Speed

The execution is the thing TabTrade stands apart. Equinix data centres. Execution below 30 milliseconds on Edge. Below 20ms on VIP. Those are proper execution targets. Most retail brokers quote hundreds of milliseconds.

Should you care? If you scalp, yes. The difference between fast execution and sluggish execution is the difference between. If you hold positions longer, you probably will not feel it. But the fact that the setup is serious. That signals something about priorities.

Pair that infrastructure with the Edge account pricing and the total package holds up. Hardly anyone in this bracket offer execution like this.

The FSRA Question

Now, the detail that matters. The broker is licensed by Saint Lucia's FSRA. That is offshore. No FCA. No fund protection scheme. If operating without FCA or ASIC oversight is a dealbreaker, this broker is not for you. Plenty of ASIC-licensed brokers out there.

That said. The person running it came from BlackBull Markets, a proper broker. The execution setup costs real money. Scam brokers do not invest in tier-1 data centre access. That does not replace tier-1 regulation. But inform your assessment.

The deal: no FCA or ASIC safety net. In exchange: high leverage, raw pricing from 0.0 pips, $0 to start, Equinix execution. Whether that makes sense depends on you.

Deposit Bonus

Tab Trade runs bonus funds of up to $2,000. Typical deposit match. You fund your account, the broker credit extra capital. The normal fine print: trading volume requirements before the bonus becomes withdrawable. Review the fine print before you deposit.
